Every brand in this directory sits in one of four tiers. The tier drives the two questions that actually matter when something breaks — what a part costs, and whether a general technician can even buy it.
Budget

The multiplier is what this site’s value estimator applies to a category’s typical new price before depreciating it — a 2.2× machine is worth more, so it stays worth repairing for longer. The one tier where brand-authorised service is the practical route rather than a formality: luxury.

A dash means no listed business names that brand specifically. That is a gap in this directory, not a verdict on the brand — general appliance technicians will usually still take the job, and every brand page carries a route to one.
Don’t know the brand?
Check the data plate — inside the fresh-food compartment on refrigerators, on the door frame or under the door on dishwashers, behind the drum lip on washers, and on the back panel or oven door frame on ranges. It carries the brand, the model and the serial number, and it is worth photographing: model and serial are what decide which part a technician brings.
Deciding whether to repair at all
Brand tier changes the answer. A repair that would total a budget machine is often obviously worth it on a luxury one, because the machine underneath is worth more. Put the age, condition and brand in and get a figure before you call.
