Ice Maker parts
Standalone and undercounter ice makers fail on water and airflow long before they fail on refrigeration. A clogged filter, a scaled water line or a condenser packed with dust explains most no-ice calls, and all three cost under $70 to put right.

Find your ice maker model number first
No supplier can sell you the right part without it, and the name printed on the front of the appliance is not it.
Inside the storage bin
Empty the bin and look at the side or rear wall of the liner. This is the usual spot on undercounter and countertop machines.
Behind the front kick plate or grille
The lower grille on an undercounter unit unclips or unscrews. The tag is on the frame behind it, near the condenser.
On the back panel
On built-in units that have to come out to be serviced anyway, the tag is on the rear sheet metal near the water inlet.
What the tag looks like
8 to 14 characters. Note whether the machine is air-cooled or water-cooled and whether it drains by gravity or by pump — those three facts determine which service parts fit, and they are not always obvious from the model number alone.

Ordered most-replaced first. Prices are typical retail ranges for the part alone — not quotes, and not including labour. Confirm the part against your model number before you order.

1 of these 8 parts need nothing more than a screwdriver. Before you accept a repair quote on a ice maker, it is worth knowing which tier the part sits in — the labour is usually the larger half of the bill.
OEM or aftermarket for a ice maker
Paying OEM for everything is waste. Saving on the wrong part costs you the repair twice.
Water filters, inlet valves and fan motors are safely aftermarket. Ice maker modules, cutter grids and evaporator assemblies should be OEM — they are matched to the harvest cycle timing of that specific machine, and a near-equivalent produces ice that never releases cleanly.
